CRAZY
JOE AND THE MAD RIVER OUTLAWS
have been dedicated purveyors of classic American rockabilly,
rock & roll, country, and surf music since their very inception
in beautiful downtown Enon, Ohio in 2000. Founded by Greenon High
School pals "Crazy" Joe Tritschler and "Hep
Cat" Matt Duffey, their mission has always been to spread the good word about the real rock & roll.
"Hep
Cat" Matt Duffey
Acoustic and Fender Basses
"Hep
Cat" Matt Duffey is the original co-founding member
of the Mad River Outlaws who, along with "Crazy"
Joe Tritschler, started it all in the Spring of 2000.
Quickly becoming proficient at both acoustic and electric
bass styles of just about every type of American roots
music out there, Matt continues to lay down the bottom
end that anchors the Mad River Outlaws' eclectic sound. He is the foundation
upon which the Mad River Outlaws depend.

Tom Salvatierra
is the band's official Wurlitzer Electric Piano wizard and the newest member of the Mad River Outlaws. His stylistic
mastery of other keyboard instruments such as the Hammond
organ open up worlds of potential, and there's noone better
suited to the job than this fellow electrical engineer. Originally hailing from near Baltimore, MD,

"The
Mysterious" Ryan Fyffe
Drums / Vocals
Crazy
Joe and the Mad River Outlaws outlaws are proud to announce
"The Mysterious" Ryan Fyffe as their new drummer
and backing vocalist extraordinare. A Greenon graduate
like Joe and Matt, Mr. Fyffe played with Crazy Joe as
early as 1996 as a 15-year-old prodigy; and the reunion
couldn't be more timely. Ryan Fyffe is not just a drummer...he's
also a musician, and his solo vocal/guitar act is well-known
in the area. We are truly pleased to have him on board.

"Honest"
Rob Heiliger
Acoustic Rhythm Guitar, Harmony Vocals
(2006-2007)
The
addition of "Honest" Rob Heiliger to the Mad River
Outlaws in 2006 proved to be a watershed moment; it was
the first time there was a compliment to Crazy Joe's vocal
and guitar as the band's focus. Rob continues to display his formidable talents as a songwriter and solo performing artist in the Dayton/Springfield area. |
Brian
"Boss Hogg" Hoeflich (a/k/a "Reliable" Brian Hoeflich)
Drums
(2006-2007)
When
the Mad River Outlaws needed a replacement drummer following the departure of "Punkin" Pat Lee in
late 2005, they looked to their friend Brian Hoeflich. Mostly known as a rock
drummer, Brian nevertheless
proved invaluable in sustaining the Mad River Outlaws sound
with his lifelong embrace and understanding of the earlier
American musical styles. He is currently playing with many
local bands in the Dayton, Ohio area.

"General"
Lee Patton
Acoustic Rhythm Guitar
(May 2000)
"General"
Lee Patton, another electrical engineering buddy from
Wright State University, unsuccessfully attempted to be
heard over the raucous din of the Mad River Outlaws' deafening
early sound...and quit almost immediately. Mr. Patton
still plays guitar and still practices electrical engineering,
but has no current plans to join a band.

"Punkin"
Pat Lee
Drums
(2000-2005)
Way back in the year 2000, when
Joe Tritschler and Matt Duffey needed a drummer for their new band, they turned to an old friend from Greenon High School. "Punkin" Pat Lee contributed a pummeling, psychobilly edge to the Outlaws' special early sound,
owing to his rock and fusion backgrounds. Gradually assimilating
many authentic styles, Pat has matured into the versatile
musician he is today. Mr. Lee currently
resides in Reno, Nevada.
