About Crazy Joe

“Crazy” Joe Tritschler is a unique presence in music today, co-existing in two very different worlds; the international roots music community and the academic discipline of electrical engineering. However, it is without question the music that has been Crazy Joe's driving force from the very beginning, the central focus around which everything else is secondary.

"Blending the best of the original American musical forms of the 20th century, Crazy Joe’s guitar and vocal stylings could be described as a hybrid of early rock & roll, country & western, rockabilly, and dashes of soul, jazz, and surf; but the mix is unmistakably fresh and 100% Crazy Joe"

In addition to performing and recording, he continues to teach and work on his Ph.D. in electrical engineering at Wright State University. He toured nationally as lead guitarist for Deke Dickerson’s Eccofonics in 2006 and 2007 and continues to play engagements all over the world, primarily roots music festivals in the States and Europe and shows near his hometown of Enon, Ohio.
